The Department of Foreign Language Education consists of 3 programs: German Language Education, French Language Education, and English Language Education.
The Department of Foreign Language Education started its educational activities in 1982 and the aim is to equip teacher candidates in undergraduate education in terms of a special field, general culture, and pedagogy required for the teaching profession after a one-year preparatory education and to train competent German, French and English teachers who can work in public/private primary and secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. Our students can also be employed in fields such as translation, international trade, and tourism. In our department, our current ongoing programs are German Language Education (B.A), French Language Education (B.A and M.A.), and English Language Education (B.A, M.A., and Ph.D.). The 'DEPARTMENT LIBRARY' in our department contributes to the development of our students' knowledge and skills with the German meeting point 'DEUTSCHLAND TREFFPUNKT' and the 'ESPACE FRANCOPHONE' library and specially equipped study hall. In addition, thanks to the Erasmus+ Program, which began in the 2006-2007 academic year, we programs are German Language Education (B.A.), French Language Education (B.A. and M.A.), and English Language Education (B.A.send our students to Austria, France, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, and Latvia with 1-semester or 2-semester grants each academic year.
